The goal of this U01network is to provide an opportunity to improve the quality of the funded research and potentially amplify the impact of the grants program through collaborative activities. The U01 network consists of a steering committee (SC), that collaboratively review research progress within the Network and make recommendations for future study design; develop collaborative activities that may include joint research projects as well as jointly prepared publications, biospecimen SOPs and best practices; and advocate for the sharing of data and biospecimens within the Network. The SC consists of a Chair, Co-Chair, U01 Principal Investigator(s), NCI Program Coordinator(s) or a designee, representatives from the FDA, NIST, and a patient advocate.
