    Kirsten Mease joined the Exposure, Response, and Technology Branch in 2014. As the Program Analyst [C] for the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs her primary responsibilities include portfolio management, outreach, and ROI data collection. The NIEHS's SBIR/STTR programs focus on developing and commercializing innovative technologies that address the Agency's vision for innovative research that improves public health by preventing disease and disability. NIEHS topic areas include exposure assessment tools such as personal sensors and bio-monitoring devices, novel toxicological models and assays to support the National Toxicology Program, detection and remediation technologies for use on Superfund sites, e-learning technologies for the Worker Training Program, and educational materials to support environmental health science. Kirsten has more than ten years' drug development experience in the Pharmaceutical industry in the areas of Cell Biology, Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics, and Toxicology. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the Pennsylvania State University.
