About the Group

Public Description

The IMAT Hub is established as an online forum to discuss the strengths and weaknesses of tools used for targeting/probing/assessing cancer-relevant biology at the molecular and cellular level. This online forum is interested in all areas of cancer-relevant research, including basic biology through epidemiological research and clinical screening through diagnostics, therapeutic targeting and post-therapeutic monitoring. Discussions should serve two primary purposes: 1) allow researchers the ability to describe state-of-the-technologies across a variety of basic and clinical research fields, and associated strengths and weaknesses in the context of the scientific questions being pursued; and 2) expose capability gaps that serve as opportunities for better-suited technology development projects. To further support this latter purpose, the IMAT Hub allows secure teaming among members with access to NCI program officers to assist with identifying appropriate funding opportunities to support the proposed technology.
