Brandon intends to pursue the FDA internal funding and is hoping to get someone to participate as a collaborator. This funding is moderate and would pay for a research assistant.
FDA employees are not eligible to apply for NIH funding, but they can be unpaid collaborators or consultants. Brandon would welcome an invitation to participate in this way on an NIH grant that included eeDAP studies. The NIH grants are brand new and might not have as much competition as more established opportunities.

- something that also links to computer algorithms: image analysis program identifies candidate mitoses and ranks them. the pathologists come along and help rank the less definitively ranked cells based on their expertise … improve algorithms.
- what tasks would be of interest besides mitoses … HER2, other immuno histo-chemical stains?
- complete different workflow than current eeDAP … track the search and detect process of pathologists on the microscope
