For the 14th year in a row, the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) is reporting on health care quality and disparities. The annual National Healthcare Quality and Disparities Report (QDR) is mandated by Congress to provide a comprehensive overview of the quality of health care received by the general U.S. population and disparities in care experienced by different racial and socioeconomic groups.

The National Cancer Institute (NCI) has published a Request for Information (RFI) in the NIH Guide for Grants and Contracts seeking input from all stakeholders with interests in bioethics and cancer research, clinical care, and/or public health.

The Cancer and Bioethics Working Group is seeking input from community members, patients, cancer researchers, physicians and other health practitioners, bioethicists, advocates, and others to help identify bioethics areas clearly relevant to cancer but in need of further development, as well as bioethics areas which are ready for translation in a cancer context. They are also seeking input on approaches for enhancing bioethics and cancer collaborations, and timely issues for bioethics and cancer outreach.

The Research Program Assistant II (RPA) has duties and responsibilities related to conducting in research studies for persons with serious emotional disturbance and serious mental illness. The RPA will work closely with the data collection team. The RPA will interact directly with overweight, youth and adult participants. The primary responsibilities will include, but not limited to, working with the data collection team administering the six-minute walk test, collecting physical measurements, surveys, and data entry. May contact (primary care physician) PCP for clearance for six minute walk and conduct chart reviews for participant chronic conditions and medications. The research assistant will also work with the rest of the study team on duties related to the general conduct of the study.
