A postdoctoral NIH-funded position in Neurobiology is available at the Andrade Lab to study the functional role of splice isoforms of voltage-gated calcium channels in the nervous system, and the modulation of voltage-gated calcium channels by cannabinoid receptors during anxiety states. We are interested in using the ability of the nervous system to generate cell-specific splice isoforms to improve pharmacological therapies.
