Faculty member is expected to provide high quality instruction in biomedical engineering graduate and undergraduate courses and to develop new courses as necessary based department needs and the background of the candidate. Demonstrated record of high quality research and scholarship. Candidates should demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and the potential to initiate interdisciplinary research and educational synergies among diverse areas. All specializations will be considered, with particular interest in; bioimaging, material science, regenerative engineering, mechanobiology and human factors engineering. Junior faculty will be required to have an established research agenda and a clear potential for external funding, and potential for scholarship or creative expression to complement and expand existing expertise in the department and the School of Engineering. At the Associate and Full Professor levels, the faculty member should have a well-developed research portfolio with evidence of multidisciplinary applications and external funding appropriate to complement and expand existing expertise within the department. The candidate will be expected to provide high quality service to the department, school, university and professional community.
